Really there’s infinite possibilities for Firefight now – including a versus option. The new default Firefight type is only one set consisting of numerous waves.

Halo Reach may have one of the best single player campaigns in the iconic franchise, or the shooter genre as a whole, it also has a fantastic multiplayer suite. And while the franchise has been known for its robust online multiplayer since the release of Halo 2, Reach has a lot to love as well. But the new PC release might have you wondering how to play with friends online in Halo Reach.
Let me say this outright: Reach is the best game in the Halo franchise, by far. Versus can serve as a fun competitive multiplayer big team game, and but across the three major game modes (campaign, firefight, matchmaking) it has three.
It was a disaster. The collection was so buggy and broken, Halo developer Industries has spent the past few years fixing its many, many issues. Today that apology tour finally arrives on PC with Halo: Reach, the release of a Xbox game. I played it on Steam alongside , other people who are, clearly, excited to play a Halo game on PC again.
Good news for all of us: Reach looks great, feels great, and has almost everything I’d want out of a PC port. It’s the opposite of the Master Chief Collection’s terrible debut.

Halo: Reach has already been a moderate success, so Bungie has decided to move forward on implementing new features to support online play for the cult favorite. In its most recent weekly update, Bungie said that campaign matchmaking has not been implemented yet for a couple of reasons — most notably because matchmaking will feature a voting mechanic that could possibly result in players seeing spoilers for the first time.
The update also revealed that the company is working on much-desired modes like Rocket Race and Firefight Versus, which will “be deployed sometime down the road. We’re not done testing them all yet, but when they’re ready we’ll fill you in on all of the little details. We’ll also be adding some game types and Forge maps. Co-op campaign will be going live in October as well.
